A government owned by corporations

not caring for a working man’s needs

Tarnished image of a once proud nation

full of corruption, banter and greed

Lobbyists always controlling the votes

Big oil never accepting the blame

Taxpayers  will always be the scapegoats 

as the politicians spew about change

Elected officials playing their games

elaborate gifts and corporate vacations

Empty promises bring more of the same

watered down bills and soft regulations

It’s time for people to get involved

 Americans should make a choice!

Without actions problems don’t get solved

hold D.C. accountable with one voice

Stand up for nature and our fellow man

Its time for citizens to be heard

Find ways to reclaim the Promised Land

Instead of settling for empty words
