Outside In is a nonprofit organization that helps homeless youth and other marginalized people move towards improved health and self-sufficiency by providing social and medical services. Founded in 1968, Outside In has continually revised their services to meet changing client needs and provide individualized support for homeless youth. Their services include programs in housing, education, employment, counseling, medical care, healthy meals, recreation and art, and safety off the streets.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Outside In provides 20,000 medical visits each year to area homeless youth. Outside In’s medical clinic is a teaching site for medical students of Oregon Health Science University, Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and the National College of Natural Medicine. 70% of Outside In’s clinical staff is bilingual and bicultural and a dedicated Spanish interpreter is always available.

The SMART Recovery goal is for you to achieve a healthy, positive and balanced lifestyle free from addictive behavior. SMART Recovery encourages you to use tools and techniques to help you overcome a variety of addictive behaviors. SMART Recovery meetings are free; a donation to offset costs is encouraged.
